It just makes SCENTS!
Like music, scents can bring us back in time to special moments, times of loss and love and growth. Fragrance can heighten emotions, good and bad. I know that I can change my day around (or my child's day) simply by changing the aroma-sphere of my home. Before I found Essential Oils (EOs), I used incense, candles, and wax warmers to do this. Now one of my favorite ways to experience scents is with EOs, aromatically!
On a groggy morning, a drop of SN Wild Orange in my palm and inhaled deeply wakes me up quickly yet calmly, giving me a sense of eager productiveness. A drop of my favorite SN oil or blend in my lotion leaves my skin soft and smooth while making my brain happy with my favorite smell throughout the day. Lastly, I LOVE diffusing my favorite blends into the air for everyone to enjoy the benefits! Today for example, when everyone is grumpy and up extra early, Zen with Grapefruit has helped us land on our feet and brighten our moods. This is why I love essential oils.
You may be thinking "that's all fine and dandy...but what is a diffuser?"! A diffuser is a cool water mister specially formulated to handle EOs. When oils come into contact with certain plastics, chemicals can leach out and do more harm than good, so you don't want just any cool mist humidifier. Heat can alter the chemical properties of the EOs so it is not recommended to put them into a warm-mist humidifier either. Diffusers come in many different shapes, sizes, and quality. Spark Naturals offers a variety of high-quality diffusers that fit your lifestyle. Some are large (like the Aroma Mist), great for the open-concept home. Others are small enough to use in your car (like the Tasa).

So why a diffuser? When you diffuse essential oils into the air, the benefits are two-fold: 1) The air is purified by the EOs, and 2) The EOs enter the body through the olfactory bulb, allowing them to enter the brain and body quickly. It's a great way to get rid of "sick germs" in the air, keep seasonal threats (allergies) at bay, and simply energize or calm the atmosphere. Diffusing is also great for those with skin sensitivities because the oil isn't placed directly on their skin, but they can still benefit from the EOs' healing properties.

What are you diffusing? Let me know in the comments! I'm always looking to try something new. :)
